Jul. 6th, 2007 03:46 pmMy mom was sitting with me while I was packing for LA today and she asked if I thought Harry would die in book seven and I said, sort of flippaintly, yeah, maybe.
And she said, "Oh, I hope not! I need those three children to survive - they're heroes to so many and I can't bear it if she kills Harry. What sort of ending is that? What sort of life?"
She burst into tears and was so, so upset by the idea and I didn't know what to say.
Honestly, much as I have my DH "story of how I died" icon (which isn't spoilery as it's based on Dr Who, not anything gleaned from HP spoilers) I don't think Harry is going to die - but I really just wish it wasn't *so damned soon*.
I need another year. Can't we have another year?

Overwhelmed. In a good way.
Jul. 6th, 2007 07:12 pmGrab some popcorn and download this video by
sabaceanbabe, which she made for me after I won her in the Sweet Charity auction for RAINN earlier this spring.
It's a Supernatural video (including clips from both seasons - pilot through season finale) set to the Finn Brothers' Won't Give In, and it's astoundingly amazing. It's just such a *brothers* video and tells their story in concert with the song so beautifully - I cried the first time I saw it.
Also, I got a wonderful giftfic in the
spn_summergen fic exchange this week! Anon Author wrote Things That Go Boom, which features sparkler-fighting, some perfectly crafted angst (oh, boys!), a bit of hunting, a fanclub of kids and an amazing ending.
And yeah, Stephen King made me cry. (No HP spoilers, just King theorizing a bit.)
