At least, back until June 30, when we go there *again*. And again in September, December, and January or February but not both.

Other than a single hurricane-fleeing day in September, this was our first trip in 18 months, when I played tour guide for Chris Rankin during a Not So Scary Halloween Party - and since I was pregnant on that trip, it's been over two years since I got to go on some of my favorite rides, like Star Tours and Mission: Space. Harry joined me on both this time, and he had a wonderful experience - the bit on M:S when you leave the atmosphere and see the clouds is almost spiritual to me, and I am glad I got to enjoy it again this time. The line for M:S was really short - probably because everyone was over at Soarin', which we didn't get on this time.

We tried to take Jon on Star Tours, but he's a inch too short, so they were going to make us do the baby swap. But it was so totally empty that one of the wonderful cast members arranged for us to go on a solo ride - we were the only people in the simulator, and they turned the motion off, so we experienced the film without the bumps and turns. It wasn't as exciting for Harry or me, but Jon and even Catie got a taste of what the ride is like, and Jon felt like such a grown up boy.

I'll upload some pics tomorrow of the kids in an empty run up main street, and Catie With Castle.

Brief Recs from the Trip:
Strollers - the double stroller in MGM is the best, and I highly recommend them even if ou think your kids are too big for strollers - they'll get tired eventually, and you'll make a better pace if they can sit sometimes.
Morning Breakfast Reservations in the Parks: If you're early risers, make a breakfast reservation - likely with characters - an hour before the park you want to go to that day opens - you'll be in there when it's empty, which is an amazing experience, and you'll get a jump on everyone else when it comes to getting to the rides. if you're with little kids in Magic Kingdom, go on Dumbo first; if you're with big kids, Space or Splash Mountain are your best bets. And grab a fast pass while you're at that ride, or while you're passing Splash for Big Thunder, so you can get double the bang for your buck
If your stroller breaks while you're there - the stroller you brought from home, I mean - tell the people at hte stroller rental - they may give you a discount or a freebie for the day.
The Lion King show at AK is now enclosed, so instead of it being a good thing to do first thing in the day before it gets too hot, it's now a good thing to do at midday when it's steaming hot outside, because of the air conditioning.
The Playhouse Disney show has been updated - no more Rolie Polie Ollie - it's now JoJo's Circus, and a very cute story about helping.
The Little Mermaid's film-portion is looking a little worn, and I hope when they release the remastered version this year, they re-edit the film so it's a bit sharper. The water effect is still really cool.
Also, the HP bit in the film clip at the end f the Great Movie Ride has been replaced with a bit of Lucy in Narnia. The Narnia walk-through on Mickey Ave in MGM, btw? Sucks. It's just a 10 minute clip-montage from the film, and two minutes of Jadis. Yes, you get to see a dozen props on the way out, and if you don't have to wait in line it might be worth it, but it wasn't worth the ten minute wait, at all.

I am now at skip=900, and only at midday Saturday, so it looks like I won't manage to fully catch up. Did I miss anything intertesting?
