USA Today Article re last night's Heroes
Feb. 20th, 2007 04:57 pmFrom the article:
The 30-year-old actress has been in tears on and off ever since show creator Tim Kring informed her in December of Simone's fate. "My story line just wasn't there," she acknowledges. "They just couldn't figure out where to go with Simone."
Several possible story lines for Simone were discussed but never materialized. "They tossed around the idea of making Simone an evil HRG (horned rim glasses), just like Claire's father, Mr. Bennet. At another point, I was going to become pregnant," she says.
No storyline. Fan predictions got that right.
I'm glad they didn't take the pregnancy approach, although it would have meshed well with the Linderman Breeding Program theories. It would have reduced her to being a walking uterus and there would have been a huge subplot about whether Isaac or Peter were the father, and one Petrelli siring kids out of wedlock was probably enough for the producers, and had they done that plotline twice we all would have been shaking our heads - you shouldn't reuse the same plot twice in the same season, right?
So long, Simone - maybe you'll end up on BSG someday.

3) Stan Lee last night - cool. Cooler than 'X-Men 3' 'Spider-Man,' 'Daredevil...' 'Who Wants To Be A Superhero?'

Date: 2007-02-20 11:05 pm (UTC)I'm sorry she's dead, but if she had been pregnant there would have been huge issues about the father. Of course, Peter and Isaac will have terrible issues now anyway. *shrugs*
She would be awesome on BSG or SG: Atlantis or something.
