For those of you in snowy locales, wouldn't you love to have cleaning your street?

Would that be a Snowkemon? ;)

I would love one of those right now! Hell, I'd love any sort of plowage right now. You'd think that with the fact that they've been hyping this storm for the last week here (and Channel 5 news did a big "NOR'EASTER 2007" the world is coming to an end story as only Fox News can do last night), that the city of New York would actually, you know, send a plow or two out there. You'd think it, but you'd be wrong. Or at least they haven't plowed 1st Avenue in the 30's yet anyway. Bastards.

Snowkemon sounds so close to Snookieman, so it's all about the adorable.

And I remember a day in January of 1996 when I had to get to work (I was at the New York Times then) the day of the biggest snowstorms in years, and I stood in the middle of fifth avenue and watched the snow fall around the giant holiday snowflake and it was the most beautiful moment I'd ever had.

But it was plowed, at least - when did they finally make it down your street today?

Let me try that again logged in...

January '96! That was the blizzard that kept half of the east coast Zoners from making it to Ganza -- I remember it well. Not that I was on the east coast at the time, but I remember it because of that.

I'm not sure that they have plowed yet, even. They hadn't plowed 1st Ave when I left work, at least. And nowhere between 33rd and Houston had been touched. The boyfriend was in Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn at various points today and never saw a single plow. I think the mayor may hate freedom!

OMG I'm so glad you also think that.... I didn't want to say it and then people be like "what the heck is wrong with you girl"

That is exactly what it looks like...

I wonder if it can vacuum

Seriously the cutest.

But if something comes to plow out the street, that means I have to leave the house, right? *stays in pj's forever*

There are certain cities that we southerners assume can cope with snow. DC isn't one. Nor is Atlanta.

Stuff on the great lakes, though?

Sigh.

That's cool, but I'm actually hoping to have shirtless Nathan Petrelli and Dean Winchester come and shovel me out. And shirtless, of course, because they are manly men.

Awww! It's soooo cute!. But I don't think it'd make much of an impact on the streets of Ottawa. *g* We have too much snow, it'd probably be buried.
