Nov. 4th, 2006 08:38 pmSo back in January of I think 2004? 2005 (thanks, lj user=aome> for remembering!) LJ went down for about a day and a half, and there was angst and woe and OMGWTFing. I did a little survey then about what people did in the Day of No LJ, and I thought I'd try one again...
[Poll #860323]
ETA: The 2005 downtime was actually my birthday - again, it was a Saturday - wonder why the LJ weirdness seems prone to happening on Saturdays...

Date: 2006-11-05 02:00 am (UTC)I spent the day doing most of what I usually do - chasing kids, chores, errands, online-twiddle elsewhere, etc, but with, admittedly, less overall online time. It didn't bother me too much.

Date: 2006-11-05 02:03 am (UTC)Really the same stuff I would have don anyway, but the incessant refreshing of livejournal provided less of a distraction.

Date: 2006-11-05 02:06 am (UTC)I didn't buy anything very interesting, really, except for a stuffed elephant for the nephew, a stuffed panda for a friend, and four thin wooden cutting boards which I am attempting to use as place settings.
So I guess I survived alright. :)

Date: 2006-11-05 02:40 pm (UTC)Yesterday Jus and I got up, and then we went into town. Lunch at Browns with
Then Jus and I went to the library, he diverging en route to a pharmacy to buy anti-grot remedies while I returned some books and took some others out. We then bought postage stamps and a birthday card for my mother (79 tomorrow!) and wrote and posted the card.
Home again, I lay on my bed and read. We had a quick supper later (microwave pizza - ugh - but neither of us felt well enough to cook properly) and then we had LUSH baths (Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds) and cuddled for an hour or so afterwards. By then I was almost asleep, so I brushed my teeth, took my meds, and went to sleep.
