Date: 2006-02-18 01:05 am (UTC)Hi, yes, the girl-of-infinite-questions. I was wondering if there are still spots for presenters at Lumos. Someone told me you were involved. I had wanted to, but I was on the roster for deployment with the Army until this morning, when they miraculously transferred me to a non-deploying unit. So, in a fit of delight, I run to the Lumos site (which I'd avoided because every time I saw it, I got depressed), only to find it sold out. Someone told me they were still looking for presenters though, and that might be a way to get in. I have two solid ideas for presentations, one of which is possibly quite unique. It would be set up as an actual Potions class - I'm actually an herbalist and a pagan, and would be able to teach the herbalistic, historic, and mythical base behind many of the things we hear about in Potions classes. I'd do it in the format of an actual class, brewing something that everyone can safely sample at the end. It would be fun, different, educational, and I'd do it dressed in my usual Harry Potter costume. (You probably remember me wearing it at The Witching Hour.)
It's an idea anyway. And if I'm barking up the wrong tree... which I've been known to do... I can resume plan B - tracking down people who bought tickets but can't come. But I'd still love to present at Lumos, if possible.
