[livejournal.com profile] mistful has posted the first part of her Draco-in-Ravenclaw fic - utterly gen (so far) and in character and brilliant and amazing and *funny*! I am consumed with flow chart love!

I wanted to start reading that last night but I live in fear of the WIP. Haha.

Do not fear the WIP! Consider it like Books 1 and 2, and the idea of waiting a few days for Book Three won't be quite that bad!

You glow brilliantly in every direction, m'dear.

I just can't wait to see your Draco's reaction when his cousin escapes from Azkaban. I'm loving, of course, his relationship with Hermione, and gah, with Lucius!

I would like to reiterate my request here, on the first page of your comments where it might actually get read rather than the 2nd page of Maya's comments where she will be the only one to see it, probably:

Please, please, couldn't someone with talent at icons (that is, not me) and with the proper free time (again, not me) make a trio icon with the phrase "triumvirate of bad hair"? Pretty please?

That would be so so amusing! Maya-fics always cry out for iconization!

Unrelated stupid question from a muggle:

Is there any literary, mythological, or other significance to Draco (in the movies; I don't remember what's in the books) having light-colored hair versus everyone else having dark-colored hair?

I've always thought that Harry having black hair and Draco nearly white was on purpose, to confuse the white hat/black hat stereotype from the old westerns. Other than that I'm not sure, other than perhaps to make him seem a bit more fragile? And there's always the possible Veela connection. ;)

But even among the rest of the Hogwarts student body, Draco seems to be the only blond-haired student. Or maybe I'm not paying attention.

But among the major characters, and even the minor ones, everyone except Draco has dark hair.

Zacharias Smith has blond hair, though.

I think Lavendar is too, and Hannah might be. I'm guessing Draco's parents don't count... but isn't Seamus usually characterized as having dirty blonde hair (unless it's green, of course)?

Luna is also a blonde. Plus, I would consider the Weasley red to be light colored hair.
