What happened the random kid from PoA who said that catching Sirius would be like catching smoke?

I still don't understand why Percy was cut from the World Cup scenes, and I don't understand why the hedges ate people and I don't know why Nigel was there instead of Dennis, who could have just had the name wihtout the whole link-to-Colin explanation, but I expected that kid to be back, and he wasn't. Also, was I wrong that there was a new Pansy? WHY? I like Louise!Brooks!Pansy!

I missed Percy a hell of a lot (and not just because of Puck's...special relationship...with the actor).

Missing his sycophantish ladder-climbing in this movie doesn't give him a base to grow on in subsequent ass-kissing, family-avoiding movies.

I didn't miss Percy, and I did. Even if he'd just been there for one scene, you know, like Arthur, or Ginny.

One of my peeves with the film is what happened to Karkaroff?

I had the honor of speaking to Chris Rankin at TWH, and we asked him "WHAT, no Percy???" He just sort of smirked at us and shrugged his shoulders! "Once you're cut, that's it" was his very vague response. I also heard him speaking to others, who asked him the same thing, and again, he was very, very vague.

I would have been fun, for me, meeting someone in person, andthen seeing them on screen.

But, alas, the person with the scissors rules...

So, did he do scenes for this movie that didn't make it out of editing or was he never in it? We saw him brienly in Witch Tee's, but we were trying to avoid him because the woman at the register was making a huge deal of it and we felt kind of bad for him. :)

He led us to believe that he was never written into the film to begin with. And, I don't believe he is in OoTP as well. (I could be wrong, but his part would have been larger in GoF, being Fudge's assistant and all).

Oh, that woman in Witch Tee's was sooo annoying!!! Every single person who entered that shop was greeted with "So, do you know who was here today??" She almost fell over when we told her, "Yes, I know, we talked to him last nite, and he's staying at OUR hotel...".

I saw the movie last night. The hedges are hydraulic and they can kill the actors if they get crushed. There are no obstacles in the maze, only the dangerous hedges.

I don't know, but that kid bothered me, not becaus of anything personal about him but because there are five Gryffindor boys in Harry's year, so that kid was...?

My thoughts exactly...I suppose the people-eating hedges were supposed to make up for NO OBSTACLES. I have decided to tell myself it was, in fact, Dennis. And the kid was probably Alfonso's - he left, he took the kid. It was probably part of the deal or something.

Sorry to be commenting more than a week later, but I only got to watch it today!
