We're happy to announce that The Leaky Cauldron. will once again play host to IMAX events to coincide with the release of the newest HarryPotter film. We'll be presenting events in select cities, featuring hosts from some of your favorite sites - Fiction Alley, DanRadcliffe.com, and HPANA.

Many of you remember how much fun we had at the Prisoner of Azkaban screening in New York on June 5, 2004 - this time, we're spreading the fun and joy around the country, and around the world! Also, many events will have someone selling

Each hosted event will feature activies for fans to enjoy while they gather and wait for the movie to begin, and we'll have amazing prizes for cosutme and trivia contest winners at each hosted event. Fiction Alley will be selling wristbands to support the Katie O'Brien Memorial Scholarship Fund at many locations - check out a location's blurb below to see if they'll be there.

Tickets can be purchased through your IMAX theatre; some only sell via the phone, like Ft Lauderdale, so we recommend getting your tickets soon - all events are expected to sell out.

Over the next few hours, I'm going to be posting events as they go up on TLC & the other sites, so go friend it and stay tuned!

Bad. Largely because my correspondant in Glasgow, (ie, [livejournal.com profile] s00) is now shacked up in Hull, and so there's no one I know up there for miiiiiiles. And because I'm going to go to London and pester Cyg and Las instead. :D

Unfortunately, no imaxes in Baltimore or dc are showing it! Philly will, though!

Well, my plans aren't set in stone, so I can alter what days I go down (as I assume there'll be a showing in New York), but it's one of those "want to be everywhere at once, why is everything the same weekend" sorts of moments.

Heidi, I hate to bother you but just FYI, Fandango still hasn't updated anything re: the New York showing. A lot of people are antsy/worried/wondering what's going on -- there's been no change and there's no 12:40 pm show. HELP!

There's nothing I can do before tomorrow; their staff went home at 4ish today, just after I was told that the tickets would be on sale "soon". I'll connect with them in the morning. These are open-to-the-public shows, so we don't have any special control over the sales, because last year, using paypal, we ended up having to pay from our pockets to cover paypal fees and wanted to not have the same issue this year.

Thanks for the update at least. It's just odd that there is no 12:40 pm show listed at all. I can understand why you're not dealing with the money end of it -- everyone is just in a tizzy about why there's no 12:40 pm show at all or if it was sold out already etc. I haven't called the theatre directly but people who have were told there is no such showing so it's kind of confused.

Thanks for letting me know something so I can pass it along. Obviously there are tonnes of people who want to attend! :)

I think part of it is that the imax theater is separate from the management of the regular side of things...

Any further news on the NY IMAX situation? Everyone is running around like headless chickens at this point...

I know it's not your fault but it would be nice if the IMAX could get their act together!
