Nov. 1st, 2005 11:15 amMy parents' house has power! And cable! And phones! Normalcy has returned to their street!
And the schools may possibly open this week. At this point, as I understand it, only 30 or so schools still have no power. I do *not* understand why all 200ish schools must be kept closed because of these 30; why can't they put generators in? Even if they have to bring in pizza because they can't fuel the cafeteria in full, at least everyone could be getting some education!
