Resurrecting a query

I was looking over some posts I'd made back in January, and I found the Fannish Five question from the last week of that month:

What five crossovers would you like to see?

I know a number of people answered this back then, but have your interests changed since then, now that we have HBP, Episode Three, the season finale of Lost, the end of 6 Feet Under, the release of Eldest, Batman Begins, etc?

Back then, I had four, HP/Buffy in Giles' time at Hogwarts, Oceans 11/The Eight, HP/The Outsiders and Clueless/Heathers. If I was doing the list anew, I'd drop the HP/Outsiders and instead, wish for HP/The Eight and HP/Batman Begins, focusing on Dr Crane getting ingredients for his fear toxin from breeding dementors, and Lucius Malfoy playing some sort of role in the acquisition.

What about you?

I'd be curious to see a HP/Lost crossover, just see what's underneath that hatch and have the survivors find out that it's where the Dementors are breeding.

But what I'd really like to see, and I posted this in my own journal a few days ago, is a HP/Black Adder crossover. As slowfox said, imagine the conversations between Snape and BA.

It's funny, because I was just reading that post when I was going through looking for the results post :)

My five:

HP/His Dark Materials. There's gotta be something good there.
HP/Discworld: because someone needs to write Granny Weatherwax and Minerva McGonagall fic. (Not slash fic. Just fic.)
HP/West Wing: I keep meaning to write this one, because Toby Zeigler versus Severus Snape would be the ultimate snark-fest.
Narnia/anything: because it's easy.
And HP/Lemony Snicket, because the ideal ending to that series is for Remus Lupin to adopt Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, and for all four of them to live happily ever after together.

Hee! WW/HP is so on my list of things to write, although I would be concentrating more on CJ and Hermione. If it works out the way I want it to it'll be huge with whole bunches of side plots going on as well, though, so it wouldn't surprise me if Severus and Toby ran into each other. At full speed. Several times. Yay, so glad someone else likes this idea.

I've also been plotting out a big ol' HP/Gundam Wing for a long time, where Harry is headmaster of Hogwarts and all sorts of wackiness ensues.

Oh, and there's the WW/L&O:SVU xover that I've also got on my list where post Bartlet Sam meets up with in-witness-protection Alex. That'll be good times.

Can you tell I love xovers with a mad mad passion (on the backburner there's the popslash/XF that's the sequel to another one of my stories that I hope will someday get written, but probably never will. Ditto for the Alias/XF.)

I'm cheating b/c I've actually mentioned five but as two of them were only in passing I'm going to reserve the last two for something I would love to see but have absolutely no plans to do.

X-Men (preferrably comic-verse, but eh, I'm flexible)/WW with some deeply political undertones about mutant rights and all that good angst.

Kushielverse/HP. With grown Imriel. Mm.

Hmm...five crossovers.

1. I'm always up for Good Omens/HP
2. I think Good Omens/QaF would be highly amusing, because something tells me Brian would meet his match in Crowley.
3. I want someone to write HP/Only the End of the World Again, which is a Neil Gaiman short story about Larry Talbot who is also a werewolf.
4. Sandman/Angel Sanctuary. Probably result in crack!fic, but it would be fun.
5. Xanth/Hitchiker's Guide. I'm not sure Xanth has a following though. Will have to poke around.

I want Sam to leap into Snape or Draco so badly.

For crack, I'd like to see

Star Trek/Star Wars crossovers
Star Trek/Little house on the Prarie or Dr. Quinn or something else that takes place in the past.

I actually have the barebones of Sam-in-Snape.

But the fic never got past the plot-bunny stage. I mean, I'm sure there are lots of things about Snape's life that Sam would be able to change...but to pick just one...like Sam leaping into Snape, and Sam thinks he's there to stop Snape from getting recruited by the DE's, but it's really something else...oh damn...plot-bunny...and I'm going into fandom hiatus next week! Eeeep! Might have to post pone that just a little while...

I just have one--HP/Discworld. If I had the time, I'd write one myself. :/ Because I really want to see Rincewind as the next DADA Professor, and I would love to see Remus and Angua talk about being werewolves (with Carrot and Tonks looking on jealously). ;)

I've wanted to read a long Pretender/X-Files crossover for forever. Jared and Mulder together would be fun.

I've seen a few X-Files/West Wing crossovers and would love more.

I wrote a short, silly Harry Potter/Thursday Next crossover and would like to see more. Honestly I would love to read some plain Next fanfiction as well.

PotC/the 4400 - although you might have to stretch a bit, the general idea would be very fun.
'just about anything'/Myst - I know Myst is a video game, but the idea of linking books is just too cool to pass up.
Batman/HP - I always have this funny image of Ra's Al Ghul and Voldemort in a bar talking about immortality and Voldemort eventually getting put off of becoming immortal because Ra's Al Ghul makes it all sound very boring.

I can think of five I desperately want right now; however, I am wont to desire different ones at different moments of the day.

HP/Highlander the series. Particualry Methos or Cassandra as DADA prof or history of magic.

Farscape/Sandman- Death and Stark really need to talk.

A good Smallville/Batman Begins

Angel/Sandman Connor and the various Endless

It's not Batman Begins, per se, but you can read it as that Bruce easily enough - rivkat's Darker series (some disturbing violence in later chapters, and it's NC-17) Batman/Smallville x-over.

Five crossovers...hmm

#1: HP/Discworld. Sirius becomes the first wizard to join the A-M city watch.
#2: HP/Final Fantasy. Any one of the Uber crazy FF villains (Or all of them.) becomes DADA teacher.
#3: HP/Bakurestu Hunters. Carrot flirts with a girl, is hit with magic and chaos ensues.
#4:HP/Fushigi Yuugi. A strange book appears in the library, afterwords four girls vanish.
#5: HP/Diskworld(again). Severus gets lost in L-space and ends up at the UU.

I second the HP/Narnia crossover. I hope and expect that when the LWW movie comes out this winter, Narniafic will get a huge boost.

I don't know if this counts, but I've been thinking some recently about scenes involving HP characters from different books. For instance, what would HP6 Harry say to HP1 Harry? This would, of course, require the judicious use of Time- Turners....

i would personally LOVE a hp/card captor sakura crossover...it might just be me, but Eriol (Eli in the english language version anime) was from Britian and the reincarnation (complete with powers!) of one of the most famous wizards of time (in the CCS universe at least) so wouldn't he go to Hogwarts? he's Harry Potter's age too...
