Good luck to everyone taking a Bar exam this week. If you can, I highly recommend having an arms-and-shoulders massage after the essay-writing portion. When I took NY, my arm cramped up so much I couldn't loosen up my fingers on my own; I never would have made it through the second day.

Steve's essay is the second day, thank goodness.

The poor boy. He's so confused; he thought my birthday was today, and just sent me this grovelling email of abject apology for forgetting about it and not wishing me a happy day before I left for work. I wrote him back right away, of course, putting his mind at ease and reassuring him that my birthday isn't until tomorrow. The poor kid doesn't even know what day it is anymore. He told me yesterday that he doesn't even care if he passes anymore; he just wants it over with.

Sorry for butting in on your journal but I felt compelled to whine about my significant other taking the Bar. He didn't come to bed till after 4 this morning and when we got up this morning he looked at his book pitifully and said he just didn't think he could learn anymore.

His essay portion is tomorrow but gets to take it on his laptop since he paid $100 extra.

Hey, the reason I post publicly is for drive-by comments like yours. My best wishes to your SO - and I would've been *thrilled* to take it on my laptop! I did all my law school exams on one, and that's why my arm was so out of shape for the bloody baron.

Thank you! Luckily the Mass essays are the second day, so I get to go directly from the exam to one of my favorite purveyors of alcoholic beverages :)
