Yes, I'm writing again. It's almost H/G, but not really.

Nobody sneaks up to the Astronomy Tower to snog now. Ginny's not even sure they'll still have O.W.L.'s there; maybe they'll move them to a different location and put a platform atop Gryffindor Tower.

They probably won't cancel exams, though. End of term tests went on even in her first year, when she wouldn't've passed anything - she'd paid so little attention in most of her classes so she only made it through because of the hints and tricks Tom had left behind.

She'd already made plans for their post-O.W.L. trip to Hogsmeade, they'd pick up some Butterbeer and sneak up after hours to the top of the Astronomy Tower, with none of the risks there'd been when she went up there with Dean. Harry has to carry his cloak - Dumbledore's orders - so they couldn't get caught by Filch or Snape.

Nobody will use the Tower next year. Probably not the year after that either, assuming Hogwarts is even open. Maybe the Slytherins will follow Snape and Malfoy out of the school and leave their dorms empty.

She can't contemplate the school, empty, or open, but without Harry.

Of course, she doesn't have to contemplate it. If he has his way, she'll live it.

oooooooo, ahhhhhhhhhhhh,

*wibble*

Very sweet and sad. Funny how this book has brought out moods and thoughts I haven't had before. Like me writing Hermione. Awww poor Ginny. The world will never be the same for anyone.

Poor Ginny. You really empathize with her and with all the Hogwarts students, here.

I think this was perfect in capturing that uncertainty present at the end of HBP. Poor Ginny! (and I say that despite the presence of H/G). Romance is great, but she's been through a lot in the book and you did a great job of writing about her.
