Here's what I just posted as a comment on lj's new news posting:

Well, I'm enraged and this will be screened so I don't think anyone will bother to bloody see it anyway.

Your little OpenID system does not work on t-mobile sidekicks. I cannot reply as a signed in user anywhere because there is nowhere for me to enter my username or my url.

Is this really the right way to treat people who just paid for permanent accounts? LJ commenting is almost useless to me now, as most of my friends bar anons, which is all I can be.

How could you?

So, flist, if you bar anons, now you know why I won't be posting until LJ fixes this utterly insane situation.

My issues aren't insurmountable, though - there is a way to post as a different journal, it's just a couple of extra clicks.

I am looking at this on my desktop for the first time and there is *no* reasonable reason for this to not be visible in the sidekick browser. Go enter a support request and complain!

It's the lj issues. They're ruining everyone's night. I've been up since 130, myself, but I think that's more due to catie and jon being needy than the lj/sidekick wibble.

Ps - know what I hate most? The lack of comment notifications the utter inability to reply to flocked posts combined with my prediliction for browsing with images off so I can't see what's flocked until after I try to reply.

Heh. I feel a slight vindication. At least it isn't just the two of us agains the world now. And argh. I know what you mean about the whole flocked entries thing - like 90% of my flist is locked posts, so I can't post anon either, even to my own LJ. Sorry that mine has to stay flocked for work reasons at the moment - life would be easier for all of us if it didn't. :-/

I ban anons because of trolls but since my lj is mostly friends only, you have to be logged in anyway to see or comment, right? I don't have a sidekick so I'm not familiar with how LJ looks on it. Regardless, they need to fix it.

Well that sucks! The whole point of having a sidekick (which I would love but don't have because I'm not in their coverage area) is mobility and flexibility... argh. *stabs lj*
