There is something about the veins and such that make me think it is definitely an older man, which leaves out Draco and Ron and even Hermione (though I think you can't actually polyjuice across gender, or it's tough or something, because they don't do that in CoS).

Now, it can't be Lucius or Snape as they are both relatively pale--if I hadn't seen it, I might think Snape would be a likely possiblity but that arm is seriously not sallow. On the other covers Dumbledore doesn't look that tan, either, compared to Harry, so I don't think it's him. Sirius is the only one on that list who could possibly be that tan--though it could be Remus. It also could be Moody though of course it isn't Kingsley.

Sirius is the only tan one, so that's my vote, but I'm sort of shocked, as if it is Sirius it would imply some sort of bring-back thing and I ccan't imagine for one red second she'd do that. So while visually my thought is Sirius, I have no idea how it possibly could be Sirius.

Maybe I should vote for Seamus, since in all the HBP polls I vote for Seamus for loyalty reasons.

I thought the cover made it seem pretty likely that it's Harry and Dumbledore. If not Dumbledore, then someone we haven't met yet, or possibly Dumbledore and Snape in some sort of memory.

Agreed. I looked at the picture before looking at the pair options, and I was surprised to find that H and DD weren't one of the choices.

Having said that, the 'older' looking arm is the inside of the forearm and that vein is pretty prominent on everyone...

I think the most plausable answer is Harry and Voldemort, especially considering they have a connection. Harry and Dumbledore also seems possible with the cover the way it is, but the adult arm doesn't look old enough to be Dumbledore. Still, I put Sirius and Draco, just because I though it sounded funny.

I voted Harry and Sirius for sentimental reasons, because I still think she totally wasted Sirius as a character and I'd love to see him back (even though I'd probably bitch about it, having read X amount of fanfics that bring him back and make it suck), but rationally I think it is Harry and Dumbledore.

My first thought was Harry and Voldemort! Since they always seem to battle at the end of the book. But I never thought about Sirius. Would be cool if he was pulling him back.

It has to be Harry and the Half-Blood Prince! I'm not saying who I think it is, because I think I may just be right and I don't want to spoil anyone. (My guess relates to the rumor that was going around a few weeks ago. It was actually my guess before the rumor came out, and I didn't want to know the rumor, but I inadvertently got spoiled by a damn newspaper article!)

It's definitely not a shippy grip- it's a partnership sort of grip. I LOVE the idea of Harry and Remus, but I doubt it. :P So add my vote to Harry/Dumbledore, because I think DD is going to be hugely important in this plot. (Especially since I think that he's the half-blood prince. In fact, I think that's why he keeps turning down the Minister of Magic job- because he does have some royalty and does not want magic in Britain to be governed by a monarchy.)

And for the real longshot, I'll go for Harry and Snape actually working together.
