JKR has updated her site to wish Draco a happy birthday on June 5!

1. This is the first time a "negative" character has been wished a "Happy Birthday"

2. This means he's a gemini, which I have read sometimes as two souls in one body, which is *so* spot on for my perpetual WIP, Surfeit of Curses - I gave him a January birthday because of the whole looking back & forward at the same time thing, but gemini makes as much sense as anything. Anyone going to run a horoscope for him? Please?

3. It's also the first anniversary of PoAIMAXNYC; I doubt it means anything, but it's a sparkly coincidence!

The thing is, I wrote draco on the 2 souls/1 body setup, so the idea of him as a gemini is just lovely. And he's so woobie and intriguing!

We know his family's home is in Wiltshire but I'd be curious as to whether it'd change if he was born in London at St Mungo's. We still don't have a time but at least that's a location...

Eh, I doubt he was born at St. Mungo's. The Malfoy's strike me as the type to floo in a wizened old midwife-type who also oversaw the birth of Lucius as well, etc. etc. I think they would consider it beneath them to have the heir to Malfoy Manor birthed at the same place as other more "common" witches and wizards.

That said, Draco has the same birthday as my brother. I thought the little squirt reminded me of someone...

But he does share a birthday with a friend of mine, who is a Gemini through and through. (He's also gayer than a three dollar bill, as they say here, but that's a different story altogether.) Be interesting to go through the books again with this new info. I still think that Draco has Scorpio very prominent on his chart somewhere. Either his rising sign or a major clustering of planets or something that makes him sneaksneaksneak.

I did! I found that quite funny. :D Of course, I'd love to pick JKR's brain and get birth time/location from her so I could pull up a natal chart for Draco. (Speaking as someone that's dipped her toes into the waters of astrology, the sun sign isn't the only thing that reflects a person's personality, hence my reason for wanting time/location.) The only reason why my coworker is such a Gemini is because his rising sign is also Gemini. *laughs*

But I still maintain that Draco's got Scorpio very prominent on his chart somewhere. ;) Which lets me get away with his birthday being November 7th in my WIP. *laughs*
