1) The number of books I own:
I can't even count. These are our bookcases, other than the ones which are for the kids themselves, and my cookbooks are separate from these as well. One of the bookcases is about 2/3 dvds, but the rest are all books. They are, of course, both Aaron's and mine, but, well, we share.

2) The last book I bought

I just got two copies of Eloise to give as gifts, but the most recent purchase for myself is Paul Theroux's new travel book about Africa. Haven't opened it yet, though.

3) The last book I read
Technically, The Magic Treehouse's Sunset of the Sabertooth, which Harry adores. Last book I finished for myself was a reread of Brat Farrar. Last new book I started and finished was The Girls in the Van, which is about political reporting (a longtime passion of mine).

4) Five books that mean a lot to me
In pulling my books for Catherine's bookcase, I have to list five kids' books, and five I've read since I was 18.
