My bag o'stuff from Sephora arrived today - fourteen cosmetic products - twenty-one if you count everything in kits separately - for twenty one dollars, including shipping. Gotta love sales.

I got a sample of Pink Sugar eau de toilette and my goodness, does it smell like sugar. Cotton candy, actually (candyfloss for the Brits) and the kids love it.

The reason I haven't been around much this week is because of insane computer problems. My office machine, which was my home machine until 3 weeks ago, had a hard drive crash. It was vaguely recently backed up, so I didn't lose very much, but it has to be replaced. I'm checking to see if the office network can accomodate a MiniMac - it's really all I need for the office, and er, it's shiny.

My at-home laptop has suffered a Troublesome Keyboard Failure - the Fn key seems to be stuck down. I picked up a can of antidust today which may help - any advice on what else might work, short of a keyboard replacement, or using it as a docked computer with a plug-in keyboard?

Last bit of advice-seeking: I've had pregnancy-related heartburn for the past few weeks. I've tried changing what I eat after 3pm, staying upright after eating, and chewing tums, which usually help after an hour or so, but does anyone have other tips? Is there anything I should stay away from 24/7? I've already declined ordering the Tiger Tear salad from our thai restaurant tonight, sigh...

Well, I pretty much ate Tums for nine months, with all three pregnancies. Of course, back in them olden days (it's been 8 yrs since my last!), there wasnt' THAT much antacid stuff available OTC. Plus, worked in the Donor Room, where Tums were delivered in cases, so I didn't have to work too hard to get them!

How bout saltines? The milk think doesn't sound like it would work, (mixing milk with acid?) but I guess it does for some people.

Oy, the stuff we go through to have these little munchkins!!!

Good luck!! :)

Actually milk does help. It coats the lining of the esophogus and stomach, and helps to control the acid a bit. (it coats more than it controls...but take the help where you can get it!) Yogurt is another good coater, and eating veggies and multi grain/whole grain bread instead of white bread helps as well.
