Dec. 17th, 2004 04:17 pmSo I've heard that Apple stores are running out of iPods?
Today, I learned why. They're all at COSCO - the stack was up to my shoulder and at least ten boxes square. They have the 20 and 40gb ones, and I think the prices are more or less the same.
Didn't get one, of course, but they're there. They also have evil minimuffin-shaped brownies.
I got a box of those.

Date: 2004-12-17 09:30 pm (UTC)Hmm. It seems that everyone's an authorized Apple seller now. Guess they can't let a good business opportunity go when they see one. :)

Date: 2004-12-18 06:10 pm (UTC)The iPods at Costco are by HP. Effectively the same as an Apple iPod, however they bear the HP logo on the back and come PC-formatted in the box (Apple iPods are Mac formatted by default). Apple does not sell, support or service HP iPods. They are an HP product, licensed by Apple.
We're out of 20GB at my store, but we have tonnes of 40GB, U2 iPods and minis.
