Sort of.

As some of you may know, I've been grousing for about ten months about the fact that my Sidekick's 6mb email box is beyond full. It keeps filling up, I keep deleting stuff. It's a vicious cycle, and I hate it. It's one of the reasons I was thinking of switching from the sidekick to a blackberry when my sidekick broke last week. But I found this program by Frozen Bear which allows you to download all the email on your sidekick into MS Outlook. While you lose the time/date stamp as a filter, it's now searchable and useful and accessable and so much yay.

Believe it or not, I have no idea how to use the sidekick with a regular POP3 account, though, so if anyone can enlighten me on that, I would really appreciate it.

You need to set up the new account under Settings ---> Accounts in the email screen. All you need to know is your user name, login password, and the server that routes your mail, which is usually "pop.servicename.com", or sometimes "mail.servicename.com". When in doubt, check your home computer's email set-up and you can get the info from there. Once this is all set up, your mail will start being delivered to your Sidekick as well as to your home computer, so you can delete off of Sidekick once you've read it but you'll still have a back-up at home in case you want to save something. My only problem with this is remembering to download the mail at home! :) Hope this is what you were looking for. :)
