Birds can be a lot of fun, but they're still animals. It's healthy to have a bit of fear around animals. I've seen people carrying babies or toddlers walk up to strangers walking dogs on the street and shove their toddler in the dog's face. An absolutely crazy idea.
While in Australia I picked up a lovely parrot and was holding it perched on my hand. It immediately went right up my shoulder and pulled out my earring. Had to give the damned thing a peanut so that I could get it back.
Heidi, I figure that you're the right person to ask this. Is it true that in Florida, all you have to do to vote is turn up with a drivers licence that proves you're from the state?
