The thing is, in this format, he really can't get away with a box. He supposedly didn't want to be filmed from behind at the last debate, but in this 'in-the-round' setting, that would be unavoidable. Not so easy to hide, so I have a feeling he's not wearing one. Does anyone know what the format will be for the third debate?
A deputy friend of ours thought it might be a bulletproof vest. But Andy Card (quoted in Salon's "War Room") said no wire, no vest, no secret IV either.
