For those of you who are of an archivist or historian bent, as I am, you might want to take a peek at the Wayback Machine's 9/11 collection. They have front pages and inside pages from that day, and the days immediately after, in their collection, and it's an interesting way to look back and remember what you may've been looking at when everything seemed terribly overwhelming and shocking.

What's astoundingly creepy about looking at that site, which I've done before, is seeing all the archives from the news Web site I worked for at the time, because that brings EVERYTHING back -- every single little detail of how we were getting through that and getting the news out, especially through the first 24 hours or so. The whole experience still seems so surreal....

I always wanted to see the friends from the flist's posts but hardly anyone had a journal then.

This is an excellent site and now well bookmarked. I'm just a bit sorry it doesn't seem to have any Australian media links, because it was very widely reported here too.
