Dear BestBuy:
Aug. 20th, 2004 07:40 amWhen you have to hit the POWER button for six seconds to turn it on and the manual doesn't say you have to do so, that's a defect.
Thanks for finally not charging me the restocking fee after I'd waited thirty minutes to speak with a nonexistent manager.
Best,
Heidi

Date: 2004-08-20 12:38 pm (UTC)On letterhead for the non-profit, write a letter with information about the non-profit and what the non-profit does, what kinds of supplies you're asking for, where to send any supplies, and your best contact information.
Also, because the usual turn-around time for donations is 4-6 weeks, make sure to point out your Sept. 1st deadline.

The normal procedure for donations is to send a snail mail letter to that address I gave you the other day. The fax number should expedite things a bit.
There's no guarantee of anything, but since OD is based in FL, hopefully they'll be a bit more generous.
FYI - OD is already donating backpacks for kids affected by the hurricane.
Will this help out some?
