Seriously. He reminds me of one of my cousins and/or a certain fanboy-famous-for-being-a-fanboy of my acquaintance back in the day of the Trekkies documentary. As you can imagine, neither is a particularly good thing.
That whole meet and greet kinda sounded like the kid in 5th grade who gave all the girls jewelry, hoping by casting a wide net someone would fall for it. And in the words of Bart Simpsons' bullies, "the whole thing reeks of effort, man."
I'm thinking it slightly odd that the first picture they show is a manfan, and then it says he's going home with a bath bomb, teddy bear, and red rose from Tom Felton. But, you know, Malakos...
