Songish meme

heidiSomeone, in the last 36 hours, did a meme where the theme was to take the first 20 or so (well, that's how many I'm using) songs on a randomized playlist and give a line from each song, so people can guess what the songs are from that.
Since I have a huge number of incredibly obscure 80s songs on my iPod, I've randomized 100 songs, but I'm only going to include one song from each artist, instead of trying to make y'all guess 10 different songs from Everything But the Girl.
So...
1.And that's good! Isn't it grand, isn't it great, isn't it swell, isn't it fun, isn't it? But nothing stays.
2. Curtains close with a kiss, God knows you can tell the end is near.
3. So don't brag how you have changed and everything's been rearranged. I thought all that was over and done, but I still get the same from each & every one.
4. I've got an aching in my heart and arson on my mind.
5. He's drinking all my beers, he's wearing all my clothes, and if he winks at me again I think I'll take him home!
6. I've been feeling so much older. Chain me, and hang me on the wall.
7. Hush my darling, don't you cry. Silent angel, forget their lies.
8. Children put away your toys, all your little children's games. Let the jazz band make some noise - step up ladies and watch out, boys.
9.Some people might get some pleasure out of hate. Me, I've enough already on my plate. People might need some tension to relax. Me, I'm too busy dodging between the facts.

11. It's so funny to be seeing you after so long, girl. From the way you look I understand that you were not impressed.
12. I saw the decade in, waiting for the world to change in the blink of an eye.
13. Your magic doesn't need the failing spells of those that never understand, and manners, they will find no place with those that have no saving grace. With you I see the irony of anyone who has no faith. (hint: this song was the title of a chapter of Draco Sinister)

20. Get the kids and bring a sweater. Dry is good and wind is better. Count the years, you always knew it, strike a match, go on and do it...

For the rest of y ou - feel free to still take the quiz - we're still waiting on a few prizewinners for the "getting 20" count. Even if you can't answer everything, answer what you can! I'm curious as to who knows what...
And I think I'll do this again in a week or so, and see if anyone can identify "I wore my fringe like Roger McGuin's. I wore it hoping to impress..."
