God know I adore Teh Martha, but there was compelling forensic analysis, which did indicate evidence tampering (I'm referring specifically to the ballpoint pen/ink analysis). I can't say I am distressed by the verdict per se, although I do find it to be an unfortunate situation for Martha. Undoubtedly it was not worth a measly $45K (I say measly in comparative terms) stock loss.

I'm inclined to agree.

Someone was out to get her for something. You don't just try to nail someone for insider trading. It's not a "victory for the little guy" unless they get every rich New Englander ever to stop doing it too. >:(
