Hobbitses! The annoying james cameron has been tied, haha, and victory over evil is secured! But where were Orlando, Viggo, Sean, etc?
And tim robbins won, which makes me happy! But sean penn beat both Bill and Johnny, which was my one 'off' guess for the night.
I want catherine zetajonesdouglas's dress, please.
And if anyone (toby?) has the opening film montage Billy did available for downloading, let me know?

But where were Orlando, Viggo, Sean, etc?

They were the victims of gross unfairness, ignored by the Academy (at the very least Sean should've gotten a Supporting Actor nomination). But at least they got the Ensemble Acting award at the SAG awards. As for dresses. CZJ looked great. Renee looked great but her bustle or whatever looked uncomfortable. And I was waiting for Susan Sarandon to pop out of her dress :-O

i believe it was my brother who pointed out it was only by the grace of god, and probably a lot of tape, that susan's dress was staying over her chest.

If anyone was going to pop out of her dress, it was Jamie Lee Curtis. It looked like it was made for someone a cup size smaller.

My husband made that same comment.
He's like, she is going to pop out of there any second...

If she'd sneezed, she'd have pulled a Janet Jackson.

Which never would have aired because of the five-minute delay.

Oooh. Good point. I'd forgotten about that. You know they had their finger on the button when Robin Williams was presenting.

Orlando is apparently filming in Spain/Morocco, or so say my Bloom-obsessed friends. Not sure about Sean and Viggo. :)

I hear he's in the Cayman Islands. I think he's finished filming in Spain. And, wow. I just realized I'm way too obsessed with all of this...

Sean? As in he-who-played-Samwise-Gangee?
He was there! I saw him! I saw him! (Uh, I think I did!)
Was seeing things?

Sean was there - he was definitely in amidst all the hobbit love.

*bouncebouncebounce*

So unbelievably happy for PJ et al. Such amazing work, on such a large scale, finally rewarded. Would have liked to have seen someone other than Sean Penn take the actor nod, but other than that, really pleased with the results.

Am an idiot. OF COURSE you meant Sean Bean.

Will claim the "but... but... Boromir's DEAD" defense. Yep, I'm sticking to it.

Well, you know, Boromir *was* in RotK briefly--and they even ran his name in the credits.... :-p Would have been nice to see him and Viggo at the Oscars. It would have been a full-fledged party. :D

Yes, but only juuuust barely in RotK, although I suspect we'll see a lot more of him in the DVD. :)

I will admit to being neutral on Sean Bean, which is why I find him forgettable. I know that he is widely held to be Utterly Lickable, but he leaves me a bit 'meh'. VIGGO, on the other hand.... *fans self*

I know what you mean, though, about the drive to see them all together. Nothing would thrill me more than for all of these people to have one more giant get-together for no other purpose than sheer self-congratulation. They have most certainly earned it.

I cannot stand Sean Penn. I really think Johnny deserved it, but obviously the Academy thought otherwise.

Was glad Sean Penn won but was *praying* for a Johnny upset.
