Hey! yep I'm definitely off to Penn next year. It was my first choice school and early decision is binding. I'm so excited beyond even belief! (yeah, shock value still hasn't worn off yet). It's kind of funny though because not many people in Cali (at least not ones I've been running into today) seem to understand that U of Penn isn't just Philly's UC. Thanks for the offer of advice, I'll probably definitely take you up on it! Mind if I friend you?
more off-topic randomness, but congratulations! :) i'm from georgia, and the same misunderstanding happens there - but my cousin (who now has a doctorate from MIT) went to penn undergrad, and therefore i understand exactly what it is and how cool it is that you've been accepted! yay! :)
Another random comment, but congratulations! This time last year, I was just starting on applications. One of the nice things about going to a state school is people know what it is and about it. It saves a lot of explaining, even if I do have to suffer through many in depth commentaries on the state of the sport teams.
But buy one get one free -- worth driving all the way across town to get to the mall with the Disney Store. And I now have a white winter Eeyore! I'm happy.
