Where have I been?

Abed. Sick. Miserably sick.

Just like the week between the cruise and our California trip, two days after getting home last week, Harry and I took ill. Thursday night, he topped out at 103; I was pushing 104.5. We've been resting, drinking a lot of soup, and eating mashed potatoes and jello over the past three days, and his temperature is finally normal, although I'm still over 101. Many thanks to ivyblossom for cheering me up when I've been wibbly in the middle of the night.

I feel like I haven't done anything in 6 weeks, between the traveling, the sickness and the damned scholastic book fair, which was already six weeks ago, sigh. I have half a dozen FA projects to do and since I haven't been able to sit at the desktop while sick, and hadn't brought it traveling, I'm behind on each of them - without the amazing mods, coders, uploaders & paul, everything wouldve fallen apart. Sigh.

I need to work on my ficlet for the FA challenge - I can't paste the link here on the sidekick, but if you want to participate, you can find it at the top of http://www.fictionalley.org/fictionalleypark/forums - click on the link to get to it. I have a plot and a theme and I just need to write it.

One thing I managed to do this week is set up a soopersekrit LJ - I don't mind if anyone reads to it, but I feel weird about anyone friending it. It's a daily food diary - I made it as a paid account, so whenever I eat anything, I have to email-post what I ate - consider it a way to be publicly accountable as I start a new diet. Of course, I started it the day before I took ill? So it's been vaguely useless so far, but it will be beneficial to me, I know.

And writing this has exhausted me. Am off for a nap. Everyone who's snowed in, please stay safe! And if you throw any snowballs, toss a few for me!

Hope you're feeling better. I know we've also been travelling far too often for this time of year. We just unpacked and now we're getting ready to fly down to Disneyland for a week on Sat. I'm thinking I wish we didn't have to go.... Yes, I know I am insane.
