just went to your post - found it very interesting. i've always loved 'TPoDG' for its incomparable description of how simple it is for a human being to sink into depravity. and i think it's possible that it influenced JKR in her description of mrs black's portrait.

on another note, i thought it was kinda cool that under your name of heidi [in your post] it says "wotcher damaris!" .. because, well that's my nick when i review. so i thought i'd say hi to u :)

Oh I' msuch a stupid cow. mweh! I hereby vow to do a BIG catch-up on literature. yesss that's true, haven't read any of the auld auld classics that al lthe teachers throw at your head in lit.class. NOt one. NO dickens, no wilde, not oen of them. *ducks*
