Why did The Today Show feel compelled to show the clip of Brittney and Madonna kissing this morning at least seven times, but didn't show even one clip of Duran Duran?

In related news, we took Harry to the birthday party of my friend Craig's daughter Ella- she turned three - it was at a Jungle Gym, which those of you with parents may know of as one of those big warehouse-sized places where kids play on monkey bars and ball pits and stuff.

There's always loud music - and this time, they played Should I Stay or Should I Go? and Please Please Tell Me Now, and I pointed out to Craig that I remembered that the deejay had played both of those songs at his Bar Mitzvah.

Am so old.

And isn't it a bit early for D2 to be receiving a lifetime achievement award? They have a new album coming out soon, last I heard.

Wow! Duran Duran were making out with each other on stage too? Cool! :) Saw a pic of B&M smoochin' last night on Yahoo and watched the beginning of the replay to see it. More exciting in the still photo than at real speed. Hung around to watch Chris Rock's monologue and then changed the channel. Not a big fan of rap stars, covered in gold chains, with gun-toting bodyguards to protect them from other rap stars, touting their love of religion and how it brought them to this point. Yuck! Still amazed that MTV can have a music awards show.....didn't know they still played any music....... :-)

You know, the only thing that really squicks me about the Madonna/Britney kiss is that Madonna is old enough to be Britney's mother. Ew.
