Jun. 23rd, 2003 10:08 amIn response to Cassie's LJ post, the incredible variety of reactions to OotP is one of the reasons why I so love this fandom as a whole - to see all the immediate, emotional, self-generated and visceral reactions, as I've been doing by reading LJs over the past three days, especially to see the reactions before people have had their first impressions affected by what others have said, has been fascinating.
It'll be interesting to see how, over the next few months, we all manifest our reactions to this total earthquake...

I haven't had a chance to read it yet (long story), but i'm looking forward to seeing what happens.

Date: 2003-06-23 04:45 pm (UTC)Interesting you called this an earthquake. Having lived through a few (=why I chose it as a name), I know that sometimes it's fun and exhilarating to be "shaken up" a bit, and other times it's not. Yeah, we'll see! I'm also enjoying seeing peoples' reactions.
Since I'm posting, I'll also say that I'm delighted to hear how well everything is going with BOTH your sons, and with Nimbus (another thing you helped give birth to)...will sign off now before I become (God forbid) mushy... / eq
