MUARI stuff
May. 24th, 2003 12:06 pmWe're looking for a few good bannars & icons & avatars!
We need them for MUARI so people can put on their site to link here. If you have some ideas, send them to pics@muari.org. Here's some things to keep in mind:
Text & Design: Try to incorporate most if not all the below suggestions:
The concept of MUARI.
Stays simlar to the design of the site.
Contains pictures from the last 4 books, movie pics or Book V pics.
Implies that it's Harry Potter-related, Book V-related and Gathering/fandom-related.
Animation: Optional.
Formats: GIF for animated, PNG for normal.
Size: Use the sizing info here (especially the Banners & Buttons sizes) or make them the right size for LJ (100x100) - and I would love it if people submitted a few that were the right size fot FA as well (65x65).

Date: 2003-05-25 07:27 am (UTC)Also, MeetUp events are all always in public places, so there is no issue about private homes or nonpublic places involved in MeetUps at all. You can't do a MeetUp in a nonpublic place. Period. And as any meetups with fewer than 5 signups will be cancelled, there won't be any sessions with only two attendees (which would sort of parallel something private).
While I recognize that there are concerns associated with meeting people IRL who you only know online, since we're dealing exclusively with public places and crowded public places at that (bookstores the night of the OoTP release are guaranteed to be crowded) why should people take any more restrictions than they ordinarily would when going to a crowded and public event? Or a library?
