It was supposed to be a peachy-pink, and it turned out Very Very Pink. So we've decided to ditch the idea of having the same colour from the bottom of the stairs through the hallway outside the boys' room, and are going to repaint the stairwell. In green.

My guest bathroom is gorgeous, with clear tiles across the floor and from the floor to the ceiling in the shower section.

And I want this for the laundry room, but it's hard to justify the price... Maybe I can find something similar?

In other house-related news, I love everything in Pottery Barn Teen's catalog. Perhaps I'll be able to justify getting some of it for Harry's room... including the shadowbox table, which is officially for girlie accessories, but which I think should be filled with trains. Or possibly dinosaurs.

Does this qualify as nesting?

That is really cool! Good luck finding something similar and less expensive. Do you know anyone with electrical knowledge (I'm assuming it's a lamp)? If you do, they might be able to make something similar to that. I've made lamps in the past and they're not that terribly difficult (although that is a sort of more complicated style).

I have a pinkish off-white which looked very pink to me at first but now looks more normal. Most stuff will look surprising at first.

Yes, I think that about covers nesting. Especially when you start doing weird things like re-roofing your home by hand ;)

Love Pottery Barn, too. I did my kids' room in PB Kids, but chose items they could grow with.

Don't you just hate chosing paint colrs from those teeny little chips? Yeah it looks great on the chip and next thing you know you ahve a banana colored house, or a very pink stairwell :) I want a simulation program that puts the color on your wall without having to actually paint it to get an idea of how pink (or yellow) is it!

And yes you are definitely nesting.

If you want to come over and pick it up, we have a full can of the peachy-pink you were looking for. My husband put about one square foot's worth on the wall and we both decided we hated it...

Yes, paint chips are an evil, misleading thing.
