The question is...

In honor of this bit from the movie, and my goal of canon-accuracy, should I change the scene in this chapter from a fork to the cane?

Hmm. That was just a little poke, really. At least, that's how it seemed to me. I shall never embrace the fork. :P

Besides, it would look totally weird Lucius suddenly whipped out his cane in a restaurant and impaled his son! Way too conspicuous.

Madhuri has a point - such a cane is not something he'd even bring to the table in a restaurant, unless he had a need for support when walking.

He seems pretty attached to his stick, so if you prefer the stick to the fork, I think it's OK. I know most people wouldn't take it to dinner, but apparently Lucius takes his everywhere. Freak.
