Oct. 18th, 2002 08:10 amI just wanted to thank everyone who left me good wishes in my LJ, or via email and YM. It's all much appreciated, when I get those little emails on my blackberry when I'm lying in bed all miserable with nausea.
Sick not fun. But hopefully, there's only 3-4 weeks left. And it means that ickle Embryo is implanted well and growing.
Just a few general answers to the most popular questions:
1. No, we will not name the child Draco. Or Hermione, for that matter. One child named after the books is enough - although James is an option, as is Eloise as a middle name. See, Jewish tradition is that you name the child after a relative who has passed on, and in our case, we're definitely using my grandfather Julian as the first name-inspiration, and likely using Aaron's great-aunt Eleanor for the middle name. Hence, "J" and "E" as initials. We will not decide upon a name before the baby is born, just like we were with Harrison, and it's again Jewish tradition not to make the name public, so speculation is all well and good, but I will be like Cassie with the plot of DV, and not say anything definitive.
2. I've tried pretty much everything for the nausea - some things, like Sea Bands, help a bit, but nothing eradicates it completely. Strawberries, lemons, apples, plums - I can eat all those things easily, but only through the queasiness. I think it's just a time thing, and I have to wait for the hormones to settle down.
3. Yes, we do hope to come to Orlando for Nimbus but it's a decision that won't be final until June, when we see How Baby Is Doing. If all is healthy, we will be there.
That's about it for now... next week, look for a report on Disney While Pregnant.

Sorry to hear that the sickness rages on... hope you feel better soon (especially if you're doing Disney!). At least the weather has turned cooler up here, which will make things nicer for you.

I'm thrilled for you and also thrilled it's not me. :D I remember the days of surviving on peanut butter and Crispix quite well -- then again I also remember the eating like a football team days, too.
Hope the nausea passes soon!
