As many of you know, recently, [livejournal.com profile] epicyclical and I collaborated on a Harry/Ginny fic, which went up on FA for the Astronomy Tower's House Cup Summer Challenge. We just learned that SugarQuill is going to be accepting new submissions on September 6 - and we're planning to send the fic in!

But we need a name for the partnership. Borg Collective was a last minute decision and neither of us like it much.

Any thoughts?

The Merry Wives of Windsor.

Or perhaps, if you are feeling ironic, The Two Gentlemen of Verona.

Well, there's C&R, so how about C&H? (It's also a brand of sugar on the west coast -- and you guys are sooooo sweet! ;) )

Hmmmm.... "Heidi" is a famous book character, and "Cassandra" is part of mythology. Any way you can somehow use that? "Urban (Urbane?) Legends"? "Trojan Alps"?

I also recall that not so long ago, Cassie said you could reach her 9 zillion ways, including telepathy and skywriting. How about "Skywriters"?

"Cassedi"?

"Bodaceious Babes"?

Hmmm... apparently my blood sugar is getting too high. Must go eat before I inflict any more silliness on you.

Trojan Alps would be a good porn name.

Pluto&Charon?

They be a binary planet system, orbitting around each other. Charon is also, though, the boatman (or his dog?) on the rubicon (though I'm getting my mythology muddled here)

No, Charon is the boatman on the river Styx in Roman mythology. Cerberus is the three-headed dog.

It would be perfect for Cassie - she enjoys tormenting lost souls.

The Inner Circle? The Inner Ship? One Ship Rules Over All?

*looks at own suggestions, blinks* Ok, I need to wake up more before I go making any more suggestions. :)

Big Trouble at the Quill

You don't need to be in a hurry to choose the name. Sugar Quill is down, down, down for at least two weeks. Their server owner sneaked out in the middle of the night, dumping all his clients.

Ouch.

I hope FA is all right.

I heard about that overnight. That is so vile and disgusting. I hope they have someone who can sue on their behalf. Then again, downtime might be a good chance to deal with beta reading? Or is their email down too? Ugh, server companies can be so evil.

Yes, they all lost their sugarquill e-mail addresses at least. Z has reopened the old EZ Parseltongue board to keep communication alive: http://pub40.ezboard.com/fsugarquillfrm6

Maybe if you and CC have finally "seen the light," you could call yourself Blinded by the Light? :p

Looking forward to more of the horsey story...
