Sorry, couldn't resist. Talk about down to the wire. Even though my own boys of summer, as predicted, faded after the all star break, I don't think I could have dealt with no World Series whatsoever. The wild card races are too good.
Now they can go back to concentrating on what goes on on the field, and I can watch the playoffs like a happy girl.
Oh, wait, no, the Sox will find some other way to collapse this year -- without Everett or Offerman -- and I'll be stuck moping around the house watching everyone else's teams play for a pennant.
