Aug. 8th, 2002 10:35 amIs there going to be a banner for this?
I feel like we should add a section on FA about it - perhaps a new section in the Writer's Corner?
I'm definitely participating - can anyone recommend any Dumbledore romances, R and under, that take place after 1950? And any Pettigrew-centric fics.
In other news, we had ONE submission to the Riddikulus Challenge for the Summer House Cup. I'm opening submissions again through next Monday, California time - here's the rules
And the rules for the Riddikulus challenge are...
1. The fic must meet FA's grammar and
spelling requirements.
2. The submission cannot be more than 5000 words or less than 500
words.
3. The submission must be in either .txt or html format, and must
include the following information at the top of the email:
Author Name:
Author Email:
User Name on FA's Review Boards and FAPark:
4. The fic must be submitted to the correct email address by
midnight, GMT, on August 6, 2002. The fic cannot be submitted using
the Submission Form.
The address is: fachallenges@aol.com
5. So... now the moment you've been waiting for...
The Riddikulus Challenge is to write a meeting during the summer

Wait! Stop! Don't rush and write quite yet. Finish reading the rules
first!
The submissions must include at least a mention of:

2) A Cloak Propped Up On Three Sticks.
3) Either the pier at Brighton or the pier at Blackpool.
The meeting is to be between one character from list A and one from
list B.
Character List A: Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Draco, Sirius, Remus,
James, Lily, Severus, Percy, Pigwidgeon, Godric Gryffindor or
Arabella Figg

Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, Tom of The Leaky Cauldron, The Fat
Friar, Winky, Dobby, Mrs Norris, Hermes, Crookshanks, Aunt Marge or

Date: 2002-08-08 08:03 am (UTC)Could it be, that with the riddikulus.org domain in limbo, people are submitting and the emails bounce? I don't know what's the status of the domain, but I still can't reach it via the web and I would guess one would have similar problems via email, no?

Date: 2002-08-08 04:03 pm (UTC)I have these ones:
ANYTHING with Peter in by Lady Feylene...she does twincest and H/D too, but these are great. My favorite fanfiction of all time, Crownless, is here. It's Peter slash, well, mild Peter slash. And all her Peter stuff is unusal and good.
My Fanfiction (look for the Peter slash! My P/J is PG13 and is also up here)
The squick-fic folder at Slash Grievances which were written to be MSTd.
Just trying to help :D don't know of anything Dumledore-y, though. Have found Dumbledore-centric, which was sweet, but never ay Dumbledore slash.
*backs away into lurkerdom*
Would participate, but am having enough trouble writing Tom/Ginny and Harry/Hermione for the AT challenge!

Date: 2002-08-09 03:22 am (UTC)Oooh, a chance to plug fics!
Date: 2002-08-11 12:02 am (UTC)With the Pettigrew thing, I'm on stronger ground. *grins* As a Peter fangirl, I thoroughly recommend Gileonnen's The Bureau Of Loopholes, which is a brilliant story. Another Peter-centric fic is Fidelius Week. As far as I can remember, both of those are het. Which may even add to your not-reading-normal-stories thing. ::shrug::
Hope that helps!
