Why I won't be able to keep up with LiveJournals much this week

1. My in-laws are in town. And those of you who are married know exactly what a time-sucker in-laws can be, especially when they live across the country and show up for two one-week visits each year

2. I was away all weekend, so anything posted from Friday until Sunday night probably slipped outside my radar screen, and while I wish I had enough time, I don't think I have enough hours in the week to read everything posted in that time period.

3. My Harry's birthday is this week, so I'm organizing 3 parties - one at school, one for friends, and one over dinner before my in-laws leave on Friday afternoon.

4. I have to wish epicyclical a Happy Harry Birthday. Streamers and balloons in the Bad Place - and there's going to be a pinata too! W00.

5. I have to wish alice_and_lain a Perfect Percy Birthday. She is one of the most wonderful, dedicated, smart and talented people I know. And my birthday wish for her is that she know it too.

6. I. Have. To. Finish. Surfeit. Of. Curses. Or. sjbranford. Will. Kill. Me.

... simply will not occur if we manage to kidnap him first to the AU Bad Place! Although I am with him on wanting you to have time to finish SoC - quite the cliff hanger at present! But I understand you are waaay overcommitted on other things. Hope your Harry has three wonderful birthday parties - however, from experience, I can say it is the age when the packaging can be more popular than the contents of a gift, and tears may come out of thin air in the midst of all the festivities. Being the centre of attention may suddenly be too much! However, I am sure he will enjoy his triple celebration (I hope you survive the effort!). Happy Birthday to Harry, and have a good week,

Hi Heidi,

1. I agree...visiting in-laws = time suckers That must be a universal axiom.

2. It is so hard to catch up when away for the weekend, isn't it? Please don't worry about it - I think anything important will rise to the surface.

3. I wanted to wish your Harry a very happy birthday! Have a great time throwing him the parties - Yay to proud moms!

4 & 5. Happy birthday to Cass and Amber - they rule!

6. I will line up behind Simon for the next chapter SoC (just kidding... no pressure of course!)
