FictionAlley is changing...

Changing its name. Changing its focus. Changing entirely.
The "Park" will henceforth have this as its icon:



Effective today, April 1, 2002, due to an across-the-board development of ennui among the mods and admins, FictionAlley will be making the following changes:


1. We will only host Lord of the Rings fanfic

2. We will not delete any of the fics or reviews currently on the board. Thanks to round-the-clock work by our crack FictionAlley Tech Team, we will make the following automatic name changes, which will clearly not change the plots of anything:
Harry Potter will become Frodo Baggins
Dumbledore will become Gandalf
Voldemort will become The Balarog
Draco will become Legolas
Seamus will become Pippin
Hermione will become Sam
Ron will become Merry
Sirius will remain Sirius, as he is dead sexy and can therefore move among universes with impunity. Plus, Carole said she'd quit if we changed him into a nancing elf.
Crabbe and Goyle will both be Ringwraiths. So will Dudley. And Arabella Figg, which is ok, because nobody knows what she really looks like anyway. Same with Eloise Midgen. And Blaise (girl or boy? Doesn't matter when you're a Ringwraith!)

3. All Harry Potter-specific posts in FictionAlley Park will be moved to Scribbulus, and all LOTR posts in Scribbulus will be divided among new boards

Legolas is pretty on the front page, Frodo is even prettier. That should be put on a Very Secret Diaries t-shirt (if Tolkien Enterprises permits).

*Ponders* Now I think Sirius, being the manly man that he most definitely is, could pass as Aragorn, also being very convincing manly man. There really isn't that much difference and even Carole must agree that Aragorn is also dead sexy. You know, for the sake of *cue snerk* FictionRing Park. Or something.
