Why am I afraid that...
Mar. 14th, 2002 04:05 pmreviews of Attack of the Clones will be better than the movie?
Even the review of the trailer in Entertainment Weekly had some guffaw lines, like a mention of Yoda's "syntax-challenged proclamation" that, "Begun, this Clone War has." (right, because there are *other* clone wars?). And I quite agree with their reviewer that "with all that cloning, no one tries it on Mr. Binks." And I am looking vaguely forward to the N'Synch Death Scenes.
So, yes, I will see it. But I'd rather save up my movie-loving energy for November & December.

Date: 2002-03-14 03:36 pm (UTC)I think Attack of the Clones, which suffers from intense scruitiny by media, fans, and psychos as well as a bad title, will be an incredible movie. There are always people disappointed in SW, but overall, it will be true to George Lucas story, and whether I like it or not (and being a die hard SW fan as well as a rabid Ewan McGregor fan, I'm sure I will) it's the story that counts, and I can't wait to watch the story unfold.
And the trailer was absolutely incredible, I was practically screaming when I saw it.
I hope you aren't disappointed by it, or the upcoming HP and LOTR sequels...speaking of which, I can't wait to see Kenneth Braunaugh as Lockhart...I can only see Hamlet.
