Never watched the show, but I do match the description.
I wish I knew how to write these things. I still want to do that "What House Are You In" based on how you act online quiz - which seems even more relevant now than ever.

Rainbow Brite was very cool. Although she never wore black, and her hair was blonde - her clothes were rainbow colored. She lived in the clouds and tried to save Rainbowland from the Dark One and restore color to the world. She had this furry sidekick named Twink and friends with names like Patty O'Green and Shy Violet. 'Twas all very cool.

And you probably don't care. But I was like five at the height of Rainbow Brite popularity (I even had a Rainbow Brite-themed birthday party), and it's not often I get to ramble about it. Sorry.

Rainbow Brite works for you. I was Shy Violet for Halloween one year in elementary school.
