heidiSo so sorry about the delay! I've been traveling this week, and then there was an illness in my husband's family, and I just haven't had the chance to sit down and write this up. I hope my initial request gave you some good ideas, and if it did, please do not let anything I say in this post squash any of them.
I love gen, slash, het, femmeslash - anything is fine! But you absolutely don't need to write anything NC17 or even R if you don't want to. Let me just say that if you can cross over Chess and The Eight, I will swoon forever. But don't feel like you have to! I don't celebrate Christmas as I'm Jewish, so I'd rather nothing focused on the religious-holiday aspects of Christmas. I also don't enjoy apocalypse-fics, main character deaths or pain for pain's sake - happy endings are glorious if that's where the story is meant to go.
Fandom: Chess (musical)
I'd love either a Svetlana post-show fic where she leaves Anatoly and is wonderful and terrific on her own, or a post-show, post-cold-war story where Florence, Freddie and Anatoly deal with all their Issues by snogging and shagging. Or both in one fic (but I feel like that's asking for too much).
Also, given that there are at least ninety three (or so) different versions of the Chess storyline, take whichever one you want and run with it - or mash up a few. No Contest, Talking Chess, Someone Else's Story, Difficult and Dangerous Times - they can all exist together, and it can be 1974 or 1978 or 1983. It's all good!
Fandom: Leverage (tv)
I picked "any" characters as there's five in the family, plus I adore Sterling and Maggie, so anything with a caper would be fantastic. (Crossovers with Chuck or White Collar are fantastic, if possible.)
I think my favorite episodes so far were Two Live Crew, both David episodes, and Lost Heir, because I lovelovelove Hardison as a lawyer - although I'd be thrilled to see any of the team as a lawyer. Or using LJ or Twitter in a job. Banter, character interaction, UST - any or all would be fantastic. Just please, no plane crashes or fics where the FBI agents are the main characters.
Fandom: Katherine Neville - The Eight series
Character request: Catherine/Nim
I'll say it - I do not love Solarin/Catherine. When Ms Neville wrote that the one thing Mireille had left out of the equation was love, I rolled my eyes, because I already adored Cat with Nim. But I accepted it, sort of the same way I accept Jo/Bhaer in Little Women. If you're willing to pair Catherine and Nim, either in a gen way (pre-book or post-book) or shippily, that would be fantastic.
Now, if you truly loved The Fire, then this can be set after that, but if you haven't read it or are okay with doing an AU where Cat and Solarin aren't married, I'd love some adventurey Cat/Nim or Cat-and-Nim with puzzles (or at least references to them) and if possible some historical characters thrown in for good measure.

Fandom: White Collar (tv)
Anything with Neal and Peter would be joy - but if Neal is really the identical twin or clone of Bryce Larkin (Chuck) it would be joy-squared. Otherwise, something involving Broadway and/or one of Elizabeth's events would be great. Neal/Peter or Neal/Peter/Elizabeth are equally terrific and shiny and sparky and so are stories that are gen, Neal/[anyone from Leverage] or Neal/Chuck Bartowski.
