heidiMet all the senior staff of the hotel yesterday, met my cohorts on the con-team that I hadn't previously been able to meet, unpacked boxes and boxes of swag - some to give, some to earn, some to sell), squeed madly over the volunteer and security t-shirts and was agog at how perfectly fantastic the program is, mapped out the layout for the vendor room, and had amazing Indian food from one of the three Indian places across the street.
Very busy today getting everything set for Registration, and then doing registration at the hotel from noon until six PM. Note: If the line is long at any point, it will probably get better later - and if you are not going to HBP tonight, we strongly recommend not picking up your registration pack until tomorrow, because fewer people will need to check in. If you are in line at six, we'll get you your pack before the movie; if you get here after six, you can pick up your movie ticket at the theater.
If you can come and help stuff registration packets, come knock on the door of the Lombard room or find us in Embarcadero. If you can help for 2.5 hours today, you get your Volunteer t-shirt (and all our appreciation).
And if you are at 2-ish this afternoon, Leslie Combemale and my husband are heading over to the Watchmen exhibit at the Cartoon Art Museum :: 655 Mission Street. Reply if you want to go, and I'll get you on the list.
