Or, as I often like to say:

First, a question re last week's episode. I've asked before but it was behind a cut so maybe it was missed? But I am very, very desperate for an icon (ideally animated) from SPN 5.03 of Dean saying, 'Dayenu!' I know Passover is still about six months away, but I believe in planning ahead.

Watched Show tonight via DVR at my parents' place because our house is currently filled with the smell of some antibacterial stuff pumped into the attic to erradicate any residue from the BATS that were FILLING our ATTIC for the last few months.

BATS. IN OUR ATTIC. But they are now all gone thanks to the Bat Erradication Company and their nifty seals, flaps and high-pitched noise combination of stuff. And hopefully when I get home tomorrow it won't smell like sporaciden anymore.

So that was the set from Watchmen, definitely. Was any of the graffiti left over from when Eddie Blake went on his "protective" rampage there? I love the meta inherent in that scene - and later on when Dean mentions explaining a clone, I found myself wishing for an SPN/Dark Angel crossover with Ben and/or Alec.

But I have a feeling that in this fandom, that won't get written until after everyone has gotten the Dean/Dean and Dean'09/Castiel'14 and Dean/Sam Reunion fics out of their system.

Oh, and the Dean In Pink Panties fics. And all combinations of the above. Especially with LJ down for a bit, it'll give people time to write such fics!

The movie theater marquee was playing Route 666, which, when I saw the stills for this ep last week, must mean that Chuck sold the movie rights to Supernatural. So I hope that since it was filmed in the lead-up to the apocalypse, they hired Chad Michael Murray to play Dean.

I loved how the episode was plotted and structured. I hated how Dean had changed without his Sammy, and yes it felt somewhat obvious that his reconciling with Sammy was what was going to prevent this future from happening, but in a good way.

I adored Misha's portrayal of Castiel as, erm, Misha-esque - all they had to do was call those young ladies "minions" and the circle would have been complete - and his sadness and what-the-hell attitude had such a terrific note of pathos.

And oh, Jared. Jared as Lucifer - no, there was no longer any Sam there. I'm still not sure what Lucifer said to get Sam to say yes, and it makes me so sad that Sam ever was so damaged and destroyed that he felt like it was the right thing to do, or a necessary thing to do, but Dean's simple phone call to Sam back in '09 means that it won't happen.

Because they love each other and need each other to save the world, and they are better and safer with each other, and that is the way the world needs to be.

This was really, IMO, perfectly plotted, Kripke and Team. They were apart for just the right amount of time, and came back together for just the right reasons to make it perfect.

Not reading the episode stuff yet as I'm watching 5.3 and 5.4 tommorrow. but...

Bats! Ugh! I had a bat in my house and every person I called was basically "man up, grab it with gloves at night, and let it go." Yeah, uh-huh, forget feminism right then, I'm a girl. Luckily, my cat started knocking it around like it was a toy while our lawn guy was there, who helped us.

But yes, bats are icky.
