 Whoever made the decision to put Jensen in slightly-too-long sleeves that
 make him look like he stole the sweatshirt from Sam after the missing
 scene between leaving the Campbells and being back at Lisa's is my new
 personal god.

Anyone who writes that missing scene fic is my new personal goddess.

 Other things happened on show, too. And I may post about them when I am less exhausted. But I didn't get the feeling that Sam was hiding the existence of the Alpha from Dean; then again I am occasionally clueless about anvils.

SAME. Either Dean is jumping to conclusions for no reason (well, other than the fact he's not sure Sam is 100% Sam?), or the people in charge of writing this episode wanted to give us the idea that Sam wasn't 100% Sam, but did a realllllly bad job of delivering the idea smoothly.

I think Dean half-suspected that Sam was hiding something, and then that suspicion was confirmed when Sam was like "What, what, I didn't hear anything, heated moment, whatever" (which is very unlike him).

The only reason why I felt like Dean had reason to believe that Sam was hiding something from him was in that scene after the Alpha leaves with the baby. Sam and Samuel are discussing something, Dean asks what's going on and Sam nods to Samuel first, like giving him permission, and then they tell him about it. And poor Dean's wtf? look at that little nonverbal exchange between the two Sams made me want to bundle him away from the upcoming badness.

Lisa is the awesomesauce and Dean with a baby is much, much too cute. And poor exploding, shapeshifter baby.
