In the mail today...

Amazon sent me John Winchester's Journal - either. Five days early? Or did
the Trickster send it through a wormhole back in time?

I've attached two images - hope they come through! One is the cover, and one
is a page I chose at random - which turned out to be the Christmas from A
Very Supernatural Christmas.

Hope to read it tonight and tomorrow and missyjack, how should
things from this be referenced in the Wiki? Is it "canon"?

If there is info from the book you wish to add to another entry just add the link to the Book page as a reference, so people can distinuish it from info aired on an episode.

Ooooooooooooo!

This shows typed stuff ... is this like a transcription of handwriting? Does it also have sections of handwritten-looking stuff, John's clippings and scribbles and photos and stuff, like we see on the show? In other words, how much like the prop version is it, even if the cover looks like a standard novel?

I really enjoyed Irvine's "Book of Monsters etc.", so I'm hoping this will be as enjoyable. But how much like John's actual Journal is it?

Funny because I was thinking about it yesterday that isn't like there Disney Postcards? And I started to jump up and down when I saw it in my mailbox this morning :D

There are sections in handwriting and all the typed sections are "transcriptions" of the handwritten sections. The whole thing is written by John - there may be notes from the boys later but I haven't gotten to any yet. I don't want to get spoilery about the content, though. I will do that in a separate post later today.

Awesome! Then this sounds like a book I should get. As I said, I admire Irvine's writing, but I wanted to be sure this would be a decent representation of the journal, it sounds pretty good! YAY!
