Everything is 75% off at Hard Candy
Restaurant.com is having a sale on its gift certificates - enter the keyword SURPRISE for a discount of 80% - even on the Mrs Fields gift certificates.
And permanent account holders here on LJ got another icon added today (or yesterday).
And Google has introduced Themes for gmail - I've tried three already and I love Cherry Blossom the most right now, I think.
Enjoy!

Date: 2008-11-21 02:47 am (UTC)I'm going to contact Restaurant.com and see what's up...
Edit: It's just randomly working now, yay. (However, the website says only one "discount" may be used per order, and there's no way to enter more than one gift certificate number per order, so keep that in mind. If you order $100 worth of them, you get 4 $25 ones, not 1 $100 one. I'm going to call them tomorrow to try to use all four at once.)

Date: 2008-11-21 03:20 am (UTC)Ugh.
I still might get some to a local restaurant my friends like, though. A couple of ten dollar off coupons wouldn't go amiss, I'm thinking.
That'd work better than trying to use them online, yeah. Mrs. Fields is closed now, but I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if I can use all four at once. If not... it's just not going to work out. Their shipping is so high ($30 on a $65 order...) that using them one by one on four orders would be a total waste.

Date: 2008-11-21 03:18 pm (UTC)Oh well, $8 is a small price to be reminded of the "If it sounds too good to be true..." rule. :/
Edit: Wow, Restaurant.com sucks. They don't encode their gift certificates in any way, they just increase the number by one each time they sell one. So my codes were (making up numbers) AAA11111, AAA11112, AAA11113, AAA11114. They all got used overnight by other people. Once you know the starting number, you can just try higher numbers until you get one that works.
Sheesh, what a site.
